Amazon suggestions

I get suggestions from Amazon all the, based on previous purchases. This one takes the cake, though:
Dear Amazon.com Customer,
Ghostbuster: The Game

This has been brewing for a while, but it finally has a release date. Atari is publishing Ghostbuster: The Game after it was dripped by Activision. I can't say why Activision would drop it though. Written by Akroyd and Ramis and starring all of the original Ghostbusters, it looks like they have truly nailed the look and feel. The actors/creators officially consider this Ghostbusters 3.
The Thing under the Shell Oil Platform

The good people at i09 are the only netizens that can make me shudder and squirm on a regular basis. I am officially freaked out, amazed, and a bit frightened. Yes, people, this things comes from Earth:
Immersion: Faces of Gaming

This is an interesting multimedia thingy over at NYT. It's only about 4 minutes long.
The artist took some kids, had them play video games, and recorded their facial expressions as they played. I shudder to think what I (or my fellow H&Sers) would look like.
Left 4 Dead: White-knuckle intensity + Gamestop sale

Rance, Brad, B-Rad, and I have all talked about getting this title. The plan was to wait out the holiday gaming onslaught. Things didn't work out that way. Rance started the domino effect. Gamestop had a killer trade-in deal with the trade of 2 select used games certain new games, including Left 4 Dead, are only $19.99. Rance did it; then I did it; finally Blaise did it. The deal isn't posted on the Gamestop website but its going on until Sunday. Trade-in titles include Orange Box, Halo 3, Gears of War, Lego Star Wars, and many others. The deal includes big new releases like L4D, Fallout 3, Fable II, Gears 2, LittleBigPlanet, Call of Duty: World at War, and Mirror's Edge for $19.99 after trade-in.
