Childhood reading habits

I found this collection of posts to be pee-in-your-pants good. If you've ever read any sci-fi or fantasy, this is awesome. I know that Andy and I read way more of these books than I would care to admit.

Meet Inbetween US - Find a meeting place that is a good compromise

illiterate monk's picture

This is an outstanding way to find a nice meeting place for those across town (or country) friends:

The perfect compromise clan gathering location for the East Coast clan (Culman, Knoxville, Greeneville, Cincinatti, Columbus, and Bridgton) is:

A coal mine just southwest of Charleston, West Virgina.

I want my MTV (videos)

So you can't watch music videos on MTV any more, but you can watch them on mtvmusic's website:

http://www.mtvmusic.com/

Huge collection and higher quality than random YouTube videos that might disappear--and you can embed them. Alas, no Gunther.

Man, if one of my acquaintances from high school saw this he'd puke up his self-righteous apple pie and move to Canada (you know the guy). He's your real American values, buddy.

Bioware announces Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO

Star Wars The Old Republic

Star Wars Galaxies be damned, Lucas' cash cow is trying for the subscription game market again. So far its only on PC, but Bioware is following up Knights of the Old Republic with a massively multiplayer online RPG. Bioware said that the new game is basically KotOR 3, 4, 5, ect. I know Aaron in particular loved the orginal Knights of the Old Republic games and serveral of us have developed an affinity for Bioware titles like Mass Effect. I don't think its something I would want to try on the PC, but there were slight rumblings of a console version.

Not crazy about the World of Warcraft-like art style. Details from 1Up.com. Official site here.

Again I ask, "Why are there no significant MMOs on the console yet?" Not that I want to pay a monthly fee, but the right title or property could make for a great cooperative clan game.
